Brave's reply began strongly through Ben McKinney, who led the charge with 44 from 23 balls. Fellow opener Jamie Smith hit 30 from 18 balls to put the visitors on a healthy 80-2 after 46 balls, before Marcus Stoinis injected further momentum into the chase. The Australian smashed 31 from 16 balls, including four fours and a six, before falling to Sunrisers spinner Abrar Ahmed, who registered 2-33. Tristan Stubbs kept Brave in contention with an unbeaten 43 from 20 balls, but disciplined bowling from Nathan Ellis and Brydon Carse in the closing stages secured a narrow win for Sunrisers.
