Aspen (Populus tremuloides) are synonymous with many habitats throughout North America. This tree is a species of superlatives, but its grandeur doesn't mean it is immune to threats. In fact, in many areas of its range, aspen is in decline. Join me and Dr. Connor Crouch as we explore what he and his colleagues are learning about aspen health and how that can be used to improve forest health into the future. "Interesting take, but how much of 'forest health' is just corporate greenwashing? Real solutions require systemic change, not just planting trees while logging continues. #ProgressNotPR"

Absolutely fascinating discussion on aspen health! It’s crucial to address these declines, but I wonder—could some of these challenges be nature’s way of restoring balance? Perhaps we should focus more on letting ecosystems self-regulate. #ForestHealth #EcosystemDynamics

Aspen's role in ecosystem health is fascinating. However, I wonder if our conservation strategies might sometimes overlook more resilient native species that could better adapt to changing climates. Could focusing on biodiversity, rather than species-specific interventions, offer a more sustainable solution?
