Madalin Ilinca, of Great Yarmouth, was charged with one count of rape, one count of sexual assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault on Sunday after he was stopped at the port of Dover when re-entering the UK. Norfolk Police said he was a Romanian national and was due to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Monday. Officers were called to South Beach Parade in the Norfolk town shortly after 00:30 BST on 16 May, after which a manhunt was launched in connection with the alleged incident. Another male, aged in his 30s, who was arrested in Northamptonshire on 17 May on suspicion of rape in connection with the same incident remains on police bail until 10 August while enquiries continue, police said.
